  • MERRY CHRISTMAS …

    Posted on by Arthur

MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Almost Christmas … no snow here though, however lots of rain. Thanks for all those emails asking about us. Although many people died in the Philippines with all those floods and typhoons we are all okay. We had a lot of rain and wind but nothing that caused serious damage. Let me give you a brief update of what is happening. We have undergone many changes here in the ministry.

God has done some amazing things in our midst. For example  …

PRAISE THE LORD – WE GOT OUR MISSIONARY VISA… after 2 years of paper work… we got it again. This past month we went to Manila with the family to get our finger prints taken. After we pay the final bill it will be finished for at least 2 years. Thank you so much for your prayers…

    LEADERSHIP TRAINING SCHOOL

As you all know my heart is discipleship. This has been my main focus during the past years, training and teaching disciples the way of the LORD. Just this past month 2 disciples (Abigail & Timothy) who have been with me for several years were forced to leave. We miss them so much…

The sad news about this is that since Abigail was one of the main intercessors in this 24/7 prayer center. After she left, also some other people left, it was not possible to continue praying 24 hours a day anymore. Although we are sad we believe God is going to do something new through this all …

We are going to move the prayer center to a smaller space where people still can continue with prayer. At this moment there is about 12 hours of prayer per day … So continue to pray for this ministry as we are undergoing some major changes that God may raise up more people to take on this very important ministry of prayer …

Although we are sad about the prayer center God continues working in our midst. Although I lost 2 disciples God brought 3 new disciples into the discipleship group. At this moment I am discipling 9 (maybe 10 soon) males and 5 females (hopefully 6 soon). God continues to bring new people to be trained.

    BAM PROJECT

This is something else that is amazing. Recently we lost 2 laptops from our shop. Thieves got into our shop. A few weeks later a police man showed up at our shop and said that they found one of our laptops that was stolen. Wow is this amazing or not. How many people see their laptop back after it has been stolen? Praise the LORD!!!

    SUPPORT A CHILD PROGRAM

Here another amazing thing … although I wrote last month that we lost the 3 kids we were supporting, the great news is t
he Lord brought a new supporter and soon we will be supporting 4 new kids. Hopefully next month I will have some pictures and updates about each of them…

You see God never stops working. We serve such a great God. God’s ways are higher than our ways. Sometimes it looks like things are not working out, but … with God nothing is impossible.

    Campus Ministry (NEW)
A new ministry is starting to open up. Please keep Pastor Arjay in prayer. Arjay is the one who has a heart to take on this campus ministry. Pray for wisdom and the right people to help him in this ministry.

We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Thank you for being part of this great ministry in the Philippines. Touching lives one at a time… Thanks for your continued and faithful support. Know that without your help we would not be able to continue this ministry.

May the LORD bless you abundantly above all you can ask or think.

    Lots of love,
    Arthur Peter

  • Why Jesus is better than Santa Claus …

WHY JESUS IS BETTER THAN SANTA CLAUS

Santa lives at the North Pole …
    JESUS is everywhere.

Santa rides in a sleigh …
JESUS rides on the wind and walks on the water.

Santa comes but once a year …
JESUS is an ever present help.

Santa fills your stockings with goodies …
    JESUS supplies all your needs.

Santa comes down your chimney uninvited …
JESUS stands at your door and knocks, and then enters your heart when
    invited.

You have to wait in line to see Santa …
JESUS is as close as the mention of His name.

Santa lets you sit on his lap …
JESUS lets you rest in His arms.

Santa doesn’t know your name, all he can say is “Hi little boy or girl,
    what’s your name?” …
JESUS knew our name before we did. Not only does He know our name, He knows
our address too. He knows our history and future and He even knows how many
    hairs are on our heads.

Santa has a belly like a bowl full of jelly …
JESUS has a heart full of love.

All Santa can offer is HO HO HO …
JESUS offers health, help and hope.

Santa says “You better not cry” …
JESUS says “Cast all your cares on me for I care for you.”

Santa’s little helpers make toys …
JESUS makes new life, mends wounded hearts, repairs broken homes and builds
    mansions.

Santa may make you chuckle but …
JESUS gives you joy that is your strength.

While Santa puts gifts under your tree …
JESUS became our gift and died on a tree.

It’s obvious there is really no comparison.
We need to remember WHO Christmas is all about.
We need to put Christ back in CHRISTmas,
Jesus is still the reason for the season.

Yes, Jesus is better, he is even better than Santa Claus.
