STORY : DO YOU CARRY YOUR UMBRELLA?
As a drought continued for what seemed an eternity,a small community of farmers was in a quandary as to what to do. Rain was important to keep their crops healthy and sustain the townspeople’s way of life.
As the problem became more acute, a local pastor called a prayer meeting to ask for rain, many people arrived. The pastor greeted most of them as they field in.
As he walked to the front of the church to officially begin the meeting he noticed most people were chatting across the aisles and socializing with friends. When he reached the front his thoughts were on quieting the attendees and starting the meeting.
His eyes scanned the crowd as he asked for quiet. He noticed an eleven year-old girl sitting quietly in the front row. Her face was beaming with excitement. Next to her, poised and ready for use, was a bright red umbrella.
The little girl’s beauty and innocence made the pastor smile as he realized how much faith she possessed. No one else in the congregation had brought an umbrella.
All came to pray for rain.
But the Little girl had come expecting God to answer.
The Meeting started off with catching up to each other of how we are doing in the past few weeks were not been gathered a meeting.
Then Pastor Arthur led us on a bible verse Jeremiah 29:11 ” For I know the plans I have for, declares the Lord, Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Our Topic is all about taking Responsibility , why God allowed bad things in your life, why are some people poor and others is rich? because people can’t take the responsibility for example a mother and her children she can’t ignore and abandon her children but take the responsibility. We much blaming others or everyone why we failed, but we didn’t even blamed and asked ourselves why it is happening. And also Adam and Eve . “Don’t blame anyone, but yourself”. Next Pastor Arthur moved to another topic about “Think and act like a Customer”- Title of the Book , then Pastor asked What our customer like? find it enjoyable and give them what makes them fun, happy and enjoy. If you don’t want to be invisible do what likable.
Then we through our discussion we proceed on “TEAM BUILDING” Pastor Arthur try to reconnected our relationship by simply looking at someone eye for 4 minutes to improve our relationship. It find good its like we feel each other, its quiet difficult at first but step by step we touch and feels what our partner feels. Thanks for coach for this try team building.
Story : “IT’S HOW YOU SEE IT”
A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet. He had a sign which read: “I am blind. Please Help.” There were only a few coins in the hat. When a man came walking by, he took a few coins from his pocket and dropped them into the hat. Then he took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words on the back. He put the sign where it was, so that everyone who walked by would see the new words. Soon the hat began to fill up. A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy. That afternoon the man who had changed the sign came to see how things were going. The boy recognized his footsteps and asked, “Were you the one who changed my sign this morning? What did you write?”The man said, “I only wrote the truth. I said what you said but in a different way. I wrote: ‘Today is a beautiful day, but I cannot see it.'” Both signs told people the same thing… that the boy was blind. But the first sign simply said the boy was blind. The second sign told people they were extremely fortunate that they were not blind. Should we be surprised that the second sign was more effective?
Be thankful for what you have. Be creative. Be innovative. Think differently and positively. When life gives you a reason to cry, show life that you have 100 reasons to smile. Face your past without regret. Handle your present with confidence. Prepare for the future without fear. Keep the faith and let go of fear!
I was raised in a happy family. I have 6 brothers and I am only girl. My Mom and Dad are both Christian and one of my brother is a Pastor. It is our custom on Sunday morning to get up and get our ear scrubbed and once arriving at the church head off to Sunday school.
I remember one day a Pastor preached about Jesus during our summer camp and asked who in the room hasn’t accepted Christ yet. For the first time in my life, I suddenly realized that I was not a Christian, even though I had been raised in a Christian home and had been in church all of my life.
Then, I decided I wanted to find out more about God. Before my freshmen year in High School that was the time I accepted Christ as my Personal Savior and Lord. After that I got baptized in water.
A month later I committed myself to a ministry and I used my talent for Him as a tambourine dancer. During college years God led me to a new ministry … I am now a musician and play keyboard in our church.
After finishing College the Lord led me to TTN. Although I never knew TTN before God just opened the doors to me. I have been working here now for almost 3 months. Although I don’t know clearly why God put me here, I just know that God wants me here and has a plan for me here at TTN. I trust Him and God says in Romans 8:28 “And we know in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
Since I joined TTN I have learned so many things that made me grow in my spiritual life, my believes and faith has got stronger. I don’t trust in my own efforts anymore because I know that God will take care of me. I just trust in Jesus and tell others about Him because of all the joy He’s given me. I still have a lot to learn, but that is normal I guess. I keep seeking and learning about the things of God. Still in the stage of preparation and shaping. However in all of this I know that I am God’s child and that since I accepted Christ into my life I have become a radically different person. All glory to God and looking forward to see what God has in store for me as I continue to seek HIM.
God be the Glory.
Last Month we had our monthly outing. Coach Arthur took us, staff – Abigail, Jirah (+boyfriend), Hazel and Joseph, and his two son’s Barnabas and Caleb to Robinson. It was a great opportunity for bonding. These monthly outings help us to get to know each other better. While we were in Robinson we also went to watch a movie. It was an awesome movie. We watched Tarzan … cool movie.
Thanks Coach Arthur .. we had a great weekend.
It was an awesome day. I love to share with you that because of power cut all staff in office went on field training. Saturday we had the whole day power cut. This means that all staff working in office were not able to do anything. Therefore we decided to take all staff out of their office and take them into the field. So they could experience in the field how things work.
Although having a power cut the whole day is very frustrating it turned into something fun and educational. Even if there is power cut customers still expect deliveries. Therefore all the ladies took the car and went together to the market to pick up deliveries. At the market they called it “Girl’s Power.” It was a great time of bonding. We had lots of fun. As we are having fun together it will help to become more productive and increase the ability to offer a better service to our customers.
Thanks, TTN – www.ttnministry.com
